Yeah, remember when I forgot the filter a week or two ago when attempting to make my usual morning coffee?
Well...
Today I remembered the water.
I remembered the filter.
I even used filtered water. (Did I just blow your mind?)
I was oh-so-proud of myself, despite my foggy head, raging allergies and general disdain for the morning.
The one thing I forgot?
The damned coffee.
Yep.
I made coffee without coffee grounds. And I can't even use "Monday" as an excuse. Let's just say that the colour and taste were a bit off.

Been there done that. My first clue is always the smell or lack thereof...
ReplyDeleteHa! I just did a post about how horribly I make coffee. Don't think I've ever forgotten coffee, though. Water one time. That's worse. "What's that burning smell?" is not a phrase you want to hear first thing in the morning!
ReplyDeleteThat. Is. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteI had a roommie in college that kept her coffee in the freezer. Want to know how many times she brewed ice?
Yeah.
Next time: Get everything set up the night before so all you have to do is either pour the water or push a button... who am I kidding? I make other people make me coffee ALL THE TIME. If they don't, I don't have coffee.
I've done that(maybe more than once). Makes for lovely tea colored water. Then, I end up being late for work waiting for a pot of real coffee to brew.
ReplyDeleteso, how was it? lol
ReplyDeleted'oh! i just had to make coffee at work today, but i made the kind that came in a packet so i didn't have to remember the filter or the coffee. just drop in the packet, push start brew, and voila! 3 minutes later, delicious caffeine. now, if only i could figure out how to work my coffee maker AT HOME i'd be golden! ; )
ReplyDeleteI never understood why people would spend good money getting coffee at Starbucks when they could just as easily make it at home.
ReplyDeleteSo....I can't believe I'm saying this but....GET THYSELF TO STARBUCKS IMMEDIATELY!
So you made warm filtered water?? Good for you! :)
ReplyDeleteI can relate: I'm sooo not a morning person. I have to pack my bag and make my lunch the night before otherwise I'd forget all the important stuff and be eating vending machine food daily.
haha You sure do brew a mean cup of water! Chalk this one up to "early".
ReplyDeleteCan't. Breathe. LMAO!
