Lipton's Soup To Nuts

Inside the Actor’s Studio with James Lipton, prompted by Rabbit over at MicaelChadwick.com
He is funny and seemingly often angry. In a funny way.

(and yes, the varied capitalization of sentences is intentional, for aesthetic reasons even unknown to me).

1. What is your favorite word?  ubiquitous is fun.

2. What is your least favorite word? anything racist. The "n" word infuriates me.

3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? the rescue of helpless animals, be it through the SPCA, wildlife groups, or places like the David Sheldrake Wildlife Trust.

4. What turns you off? are we still talking emotionally? Or.... like... never mind. I'll just say bad breath.

5. What is your favorite curse word? Damnitalltohell (BF would say it is "fuck"... only when I am really angry/in the throes of road rage/blogging).

6. What sound or noise do you love? the purr of a cat.

7. What sound or noise do you hate? sirens make me antsy because you know something bad has happened/is happening/someone might die. Also reminds me of my sister's near-death experience giving birth to my nephew.

8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? modelling... bwahHAHhah!! No, really, working with animals somehow (outside of a shelter or vet clinic because I am a p*ssy when it comes to death).

9. What profession would you not like to do? streetwalker. I hate walking around for long periods of time. That, or cleaning lady/janitor (waaay too lazy to clean my own messes, never mind the messes of others.... that sort of fits with my first response, too).

10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? Beyotch, your blog was funny! And you are not as rotten a person you think you are. But really! The blog was good!

And that's all she wrote.

    1. You'd REALLY hate sirens at my house - you get them in stereo - to the tune of six dogs - one being a basset hound!

Thanks for playing along with the questions.

And for the record! I am really NOT angry - I just bitch really, really well. (And people seems to enjoy it...)

    2. *Rabbit (Micael Chadwick) - no, no! I would ADORE those types of sirens. Might even want that in an MP3 to listen to for my own amusement. Along with Hailey farts.

Also - good to know about the anger vs. bitching. ;-) And yes, lots of people enjoy it... More followers than I!

    6. *jess - oh my goodness I feel so guilty for not having that as MY OWN answer! You have no idea how happy that would make me! Casey, Clancy, Brandy, Marnie, Bear Bear, Murphy, Mr. Grey, Scooby Doo, Topaz, Owl... You are going to make me cry now.

*Barb the French Bean - but do you hate it enough to remove "streetwalker" from your list of potential future jobs? Just kidding. I'm still considering myself. (No I am not, Aunt G.)

*Nubian - awesome!! How did you hear about it? We were oh so lucky to visit in September of 2009 and our baby is Shukuru. The Keepers are phenomenal!! Thanks for posting. ;-)

    7. We heard about it through the Discovery show on elephants about 6 years ago. Have been loyal supporters ever since.

    8. *Nubian - awesome!! Keep up the great work!

When we were there, I was petting the warthogs... I thought they were part of the Trust's animals. Then I heard them advising the crowd to stay away from them, as they were wild. I have a pic, I should post it!

    9. "If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?"
I don't know what I'd like to hear, but I know what he would say. Something on the lines of "So, what now? As you can see, I do exist."

I try to avoid thinking about my past pets, it just gets me bit emotional...but I suppose now it's too late. I remember my first hamster, who lived two years and I remember how, in the twilight of his life, he tried to stand, but he couldn't since he was out of strength, so my mom covered the cage with a towel. He was buried in the garden of my neighbour in the same box he was in when I got it from a friend. I called him "Rocket", because I was a fan of Houston Rockets.

I really think that I will never have a pet again, even if my future children will ask for one. They tend to live for a too short period of time and when they are gone, I feel something of myself is gone too.

    10. *Rendos - Sorry to hear about Rocket. We love them so much, whether they are big or small. They meant a lot to us. When Scooby died in January, I know a part of me died with her, but I still cherish those 13.5 years I had with her. I will always be her 'mom' and I will miss her as long as I live.

The hurt is awful, but the love is worth it. Maybe one day you will want another one... if not, just keep lovin' Rocket. :-)
